What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a method of permanently removing unwanted hair by destroying the hair growth cells in the follicle using a tiny, sterile probe and a controlled electrical current. Once treated, the follicle can no longer produce hair. This technique has been trusted for over 100 years

How Does Electrolysis Work?
A fine, sterile probe is inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle the small amount of heat or chemical energy is delivered to destroy the follicle’s growth cells. The treated hair is gently lifted out with sterile tweezers.
-
What is the difference between electrolysis and laser hair removal?
In short, Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method for permanent hair removal, while laser hair removal offers only permanent hair reduction. Electrolysis works on all hair colors and skin tones, whereas laser is less effective on light, gray, or red hair.
-
Can I do electrolysis after laser?
Absolutely. Many clients come to us after laser treatments for stubborn regrowth or hair colors that laser cannot remove.
-
Does electrolysis hurt?
When the energy is released, you may feel a brief zap in the hair follicle, lasting from a fraction of a second to a few seconds depending on the modality. With today’s advanced technology, electrolysis is more comfortable than ever. Comfort levels vary, but most clients tolerate it well. Numbing creams can be used if needed.

How long will treatment last?
At the start of treatment, patience is essential. The first phase focuses on clearing the initial area and working through your natural hair growth cycles. Visible reduction typically begins within the first few months. After this initial period, you’ll notice less and less hair growth until, eventually, there is none. The total treatment time varies for each person and depends on factors such as the area being treated, the depth and density of the hair, and your individual growth cycle. Previous hair removal methods, hormonal influences, stress, and certain medications can also affect both hair growth and treatment progress. Sessions can range anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours, and we will discuss your specific plan during your consultation. Maintaining regular appointments ensures your overall treatment time is not unnecessarily prolonged.
