Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method of permanent hair removal. Unlike temporary solutions like shaving, waxing, or even laser, electrolysis targets each individual hair follicle to stop future growth for good.
The Electrolysis Process
During treatment, a fine, sterile probe is gently inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle. A small amount of energy is then applied to destroy the follicle’s ability to grow new hair. The treated hair is then removed with tweezers, leaving your skin smooth and hair-free.
Electrolysis is effective on all hair colors and skin types, making it the definitive permanent solution.
Understanding Your Results
Completion of Treatment: Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are required to treat every follicle in the area at the right stage of growth. Once a specific hair follicle has been successfully treated, it is permanently destroyed and will not regrow.
Future Hair Growth: While treatment provides permanent results, it's important to understand that new, fine hairs can sometimes mature and become noticeable in the future. This is often triggered by hormonal changes (like those from pregnancy or menopause) or certain medications. Electrolysis will not prevent this natural process, but it can easily treat these new hairs as they appear.
